Streamed a few freebies last night. I need to get my head back in the game, but at least I quite like this one piece. Felt like trying to channel both Mucha and Elvgren at once and half-assing on both ends. :B ANYWAYS, YEAH. PICTURES.

Today was not too productive, since family came into town for a big high school football game in which my second (third?) cousin did extremely well. It was a really good game, pretty close until the end, against the team that was apprently ranked best in the nation.
Anyways I drew this inbetween plays. Alas, that I have no scanner. You'll have to make do with the fuzzy webcam photo for now.

I AM A PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS.
Who has been drawing more than just beeyooteeful self portraits. Gaia retardicute..
Aaaalmost nsfw fap material....
A closer and closer to being finished commission for the illustrious Junk..
And Gaia ridiculousness.
This one also has a R-R-R-R-REMIX.
SO IN NON-DOODLY NEWS, reading an article about the Harlem Renaissance and how gay culture grew and behaved within its confines both helped me make some kind of background of what Chicago gay culture might have been like, but it also hooked me up with some TOTALLY KICKING BLUES MUSIC.
There's the lesbian blues of Ma Rainey, in which she dares people to try and prove that she's been sleeping around with the ladies, which is definitely my favorite of the bunch. And searching for Freakish Man Blues by George Hanna turned up a glorious blog with a wide assortment of old, wonderful blues music. Gladys Bentley was another great discovery from the book; she owned a club in Harlem where she entertained nightly in a tuxedo. One hell of a voice, and she's damned good on the piano.
All in all it has been a very slow, but musical day.

SO I HAVE BEEN DRAWING THINGS ON GAIA HURPADURP because I have owed people art for quite a while.
Also I did some freebies because it's nice to do loose unstructured things whee.
And then I did a few random little drawings. Quick pin-upy thing of the boys, a face mask thing aaaaaand-
Self portrait.
HELLO I AM A FAT AMERICAN AND I AM HERE FOR ALL OF YOUR COOKIES AND BURGERS AND OH YES FRENCH FRIES, AND CAN I GET THAT WITH A COKE PLEASE?

THE FIRST PAGE OF GRG.
....which isn't actually the first page of the comic. Anyways. For one day's work I feel pretty good about it. I have some slaphappy colors I'm still working on, but it might take me a bit to figure out exactly how I want to shade and color this.
Also this is about when I decided it might be good to stop for the night.

Slow day. This is what I am trying and it is not very effective as of yet.
Sketched a sad scene thing me and Kait were working out but the expression is entirely wrong at this point. Working it all in one layer, trying to figure out a good way to use my underdrawing. I get too much of a disconnect from the loose originals most times.
Also I did a request thread.
Rage was had. But I also got one rather neat request that will apparently be used as concept art for a tattoo design. So that was nifty.

PIXELS EVERYWHERE
I remembered Photoshop had a pixely brush so that I could draw like I was REALLY USING MSPAINT AGAIN~
I actually do quite like that style, so I made a request thread to play around with it a bit.
The name of the game with this sorta thing is speed, I doubt any of these took me longer than ten minutes.

Been working on simplifying things.
Some of the effects I quite like.
Also it seems I never posted this piece of Whitechapel goer Nygaard, which I was actually rather proud of, so here's the black and white version I built on top of. Again, this is from a (brilliant) photograph.
I really WASN'T posting things up here for a while, huh? I suppose I just feel bad about crossposting my work, don't want to spam people with drawings.
